We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer with a strong SHERQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, and Quality) focus to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our products, processes, and operations meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental responsibility. 

Responsibilities:

  • Quality Management:
    • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems in compliance with ISO 9001, 17025 and other relevant standards.
    • Conduct internal audits and inspections to identify and address quality issues.
    • Monitor and analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Develop and deliver quality training programs for employees.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that quality standards are integrated into all aspects of the business.
  • Safety and Health:
    • Implement and maintain a robust safety and health management system in compliance with OHS Act and other relevant regulations.
    • Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures to mitigate workplace hazards.
    • Investigate incidents and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
    • Promote a safety culture within the company through training, awareness campaigns, and regular communication.
  • Environmental Management:
    • Develop and implement environmental management programs to minimize the company's environmental impact.
    • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
    • Monitor and report on environmental performance indicators.
    • Identify opportunities to improve environmental sustainability.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify and assess potential risks across all areas of the business.
    • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
    • Monitor and review the effectiveness of risk management controls.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in a SHERQ role, preferably in the construction or manufacturing industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, OHS Act, and environmental regulations, and others.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) are highly advantageous.
