Introduction

A global leader in ICT and digital infrastructure solutions is seeking an experienced Senior IT Solutions Manager to join their Data Center Solution Sales Department in Century City, Cape Town.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with advanced data center and storage technologies, engage with C-level clients, and contribute to large-scale IT transformation projects within the telecommunications and enterprise sector.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the sales team to design, present, and price IT solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with C-level executives and decision-makers.
  • Support Account Managers with competitive strategies, business plans, and action plans.
  • Act as a technical consultant by providing network design and planning proposals.
  • Manage and promote the company's IT and Data Center solutions, preparing technical presentations and demonstrations.
  • Analyze telecom and IT market trends and contribute to market strategy and promotion planning.
  • Support customer requests for technical assistance, product support, and issue resolution.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks as required to support the department's overall objectives.

Education:

  • Matric (Grade 12) essential
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business Management, Marketing, ICT, or related field (advantageous)

Experience:

  • Minimum 5–10 years' experience in networking or IT infrastructure sales within the telecommunications industry.
  • Proven experience in pre-sales engagement and client-facing roles.
  • Solid knowledge of storage solutions and data centers.
  • Strong record of lead generation and revenue growth.
  • Experience in responding to tenders and writing proposals.

Certifications (Advantageous):

  • HP / EMC / VMware / Cisco / Symantec certifications
  • CCNP or CCIE certification
