Job Overview:
xxxxxx is a market leading courier company and the Locations Function forms one of the divisional structures within the organization. The function is responsible for the growth of the Out of Home network. The Locations GIS Manager reports to the Head of Locations and is responsible for managing, analysing, and visualising geospatial and operational data to support decision-making for the expansion and optimisation of xxxxxxx Out of Home (OOH) network. The role will serve as the technical foundation for developing the GIS roadmap and will require contribution to support in steering forums and to identify initiatives needed to support company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze large, multi-source datasets to derive actionable insights
• Conduct spatial analysis to support locations acquisition across solution services and other initiatives.
• Work on a pipeline of initiatives that align to business objectives to unlock value
• Support data quality assurance and control processes.
• Produce clearly communicated written output of methods and results of completed analyses
• Document methodologies and maintain metadata for datasets.
• Manage a Locations GIS Coordinator
Technical Skills:
• A high level of competence using ESRI, ArcGIS product suit, including its extensions. Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, ModelBuilder, Web GIS, Survey123, and Field Maps is essential.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations in ArcGIS.
• A sound understanding of spatial data structures and fundamental concepts of GIS.
• Experience in managing spatial data with working knowledge of Python scripting, SQL queries, and Web GIS deployment.
• Spatial database design and management, preferably with ESRI geodatabases.
• Build and validate statistical and predictive models (desirable).
Minimum Requirements:
• A degree qualification in GIS or a related field. MSc would be desirable but not essential.
• The ideal candidate will have three or more years commercial experience in a similar role and be able to provide demonstratable experience of GIS.
