Forbatt SA is looking for a dynamic External Sales Representative to join our Johannesburg team. This role reports directly to the Sales Leader and is ideal for someone driven, energetic, and passionate about building strong customer relationships while delivering results. This is a full-time, office-based position located in Lanseria, Johannesburg, South Africa.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly gross profit targets
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Prepare customer quotes and process orders
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all customer account management matters
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with resellers
  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions based on customer needs
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and product demonstrations
  • Maintain an up-to-date daily sales pipeline
  • Assist with planning sales campaigns, customer demos, and activities for external sales teams

Skills Required

  • Energetic and eager to grow the customer base
  • Knowledge of the battery industry would be advantageous and is considered a strong added benefit.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding customer engagement and relationship-building ability
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate sales figures and pipeline updates
  • Effective networking skills
  • Strong time-management and organisational skills

Requirements

  • Matric (essential); a tertiary qualification or relevant diploma is an advantage
  • Knowledge of security products and reseller channels
  • Minimum of 5 years external sales experience (essential)
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets
  • Computer literate
  • Security-driven and customer-focused
  • Reliable transport and a valid driver's licence
