Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to focus on financial reporting and reviews. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements and provide support in the preparation of insightful financial reports for decision-making. This role requires exceptional analytical, multitasking, and communication skills to support our accounting team and deliver high-quality services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review detailed financial reports, ensuring compliance with IFRS and other relevant standards.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of financial statements and identify areas for improvement.
  • Review and validate financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate with the Junior Accounting Manager to provide strategic financial insights.
  • Mentor and guide junior and intermediate accountants, fostering their professional growth.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates and address inquiries.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification training completed or in progress (e.g., CA, AGSA, SAIBA, SAIPA) is mandatory.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting roles with a focus on financial reporting and reviews.
  • Proficiency in digital accounting tools and software (e.g., Xero, Syft Analytics).
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and accounting principles.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Committed to maintaining high ethical standards and confidentiality.
