Join an industry-leading data-driven quality insights provider as their Senior Accountant, where precision, innovation, and operational excellence drive every decision. This organization supports critical research and commercial operations across multiple international sectors, offering a dynamic environment for a finance professional who thrives in a high-performance setting. My client is seeking a detail-driven Senior Accountant. Either a newly qualified CA(SA) or an individual with a completed accounting degree, SAIPA articles, and a minimum of 5 years post-articles experience. In this role, you will take ownership of key financial components including the fixed asset register, capex planning and depreciation, WIP calculations, IFRS 16 compliance, payroll reconciliations, provisions, CoS analysis and tax submissions.

As the Senior Accountant, your duties and responsibilities could include the following:
Manage and maintain the fixed asset register
Ensure accurate classification, depreciation calculations and asset lifestyle tracking
Lead and execute CAPEX planning and reporting
Perform WIP calculations
Ensure full IFRS 16 compliance
Complete monthly payroll reconciliations
Prepare and maintain provisions, accruals, and prepayments
Conduct CoS analysis
Oversee and manage tax computations and submissions
Partner with operational managers to provide financial insights
Support external auditors with schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation

Skills & Experience:
Newly-qualified CA(SA) or Completed SAIPA articles with 5 years of post-article experience
IFRS 16 knowledge
Ability to review management accounts
Team management

Qualification:
Completed BCom degree  
Completed Matric (Grade 12)
