Job description:

The successful incumbent will be responsible for management reporting and financial analysis within the finance department. The individual is expected to work closely with the finance team, management and other stakeholders, providing accurate and timely management information and reporting to support business decision-making. We require the skills of a dynamic individual who can work independently and has demonstrated experience in the responsibilities of the role.

Responsibilities:
  • Review of reconciliations
  • Review of monthly accounting processing
  • Compiling of management reports and analysis
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting
  • B-BBEE reporting and compliance
  • Ensuring all control accounts, balance sheets and income statements are reconciled on a monthly basis
  • Assist Regional Managers with financial information
  • Liaising and assisting with internal and external auditors
  • Resolving reconciling and long outstanding items on balance sheet reconciliations
  • Systems, processes and internal control improvements
  • Assist with ad hoc queries until resolution
Minimum Requirements:
  • BCom Accounting / Honours Degree
  • CIMA / CA(SA) (Advantageous)
  • 3 – 5 years' relevant experience in the Financial Services industry
  • Strong technical skills, including sound IFRS knowledge
  • Advanced MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook
  • Short Term Insurance Industry experience (Highly advantageous)
  • Experience in accounting packages such as MS Dynamics/Great Plains/Business Central (Advantageous)
