What do we do?

Our purpose is to build dignity and opportunity through sustainable, production-led economies. This means making Africa a globally competitive manufacturing hub. We do this by partnering with leading companies on value chain and business transformation programmes, with governments to develop smart industrial policies, and with industrial clusters to facilitate innovative and sustainable sector development programmes. Our teams innovate and deliver across the spectrum of industry needs, including research, policy development, best practice discovery, value chain and firm-level strategy and execution, manufacturing performance improvement, skills training, sustainability, decarbonisation, and SME development.

What's the role?

We are looking for an energetic, articulate, and highly organised person to coordinate and support our Executive team's administrative and operational needs. This role is critical to the team's ability to produce quality outputs for clients. This role is well suited to individuals with expertise and passion for organization, communication, and operational support.

  • Internal Coordination & Travel

Support team operations through effective scheduling of internal meetings and ad hoc travel arrangements, ensuring logistical needs are met efficiently.

  • Team Reporting & Compliance

Assist in managing the Value Chain Excellence (VCX) team's reporting requirements to central functions (finance, resource allocation, project tracking), ensuring compliance with BMA's processes and standards.

  • Document Production & Formatting

Format and polish documents for internal and client use, ensuring alignment with BMA's professional standards and branding and working closely with VCX team's operational managers to ensure accurate and timely reports.

  • Tender & Proposal Support

Coordinate and assure the quality of tender submissions and compliance documents. Support tender screening processes and maintain accurate records of supporting documentation (CVs, project histories, case studies).

  • Financial Administration

Process consultant invoices, expense claims, and internal charges in line with BMA's standard operating procedures, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • General Executive Administration

Provide a full range of secretarial and administrative services to the Value Chain Excellence team, anticipating needs and ensuring the team can focus on strategic delivery.

Who are you?

  • You are highly organised with good verbal and written communication skills
  • You have strong attention to detail.
  • You are socially adaptable with the ability and desire to engage with people from different socioeconomic backgrounds and in different environments, from boardroom to factory.
