Duties & Responsibilities Our client, a leading player within a major automotive and financial services group, is seeking a Financial Accountant who brings both technical strength and commercial savvy. In this role, you won't just process numbers, you'll shape insights, influence decision-making, and contribute to a business that's driving transformation across the sector. Key Responsibilities:
  • Full financial accounting function including journals, reconciliations, and month-end processing
  • Preparation and review of management accounts and financial reports
  • Support the finance team with budgeting, cash flow management, and forecasting
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and IFRS standards
  • Assist with audits, statutory submissions, and tax processes
  • Analyse financial performance and deliver insights to support strategic decisions
  • Drive process optimisation and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance financial visibility and operational effectiveness
Job Experience & Skills Required:
  • Completed BCom Accounting or relevant finance qualification
  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a financial accounting role
  • Strong grasp of IFRS, financial controls, and reporting principles
  • Exceptional analytical ability and attention to detail
  • Hands-on, deadline-driven, and comfortable in high-volume environments
  • Proficient in Excel and financial systems
  • A proactive, solutions-focused professional with strong communication skills
  • Immediate availability is essential
