Job description

  • Do daily bed checks to confirm vacant rooms, outstanding payments, and report housekeeping and maintenance issues
  • Complete the daily cash up
  • Assist guests with questions, complaints and requests
  • Supervise that the maintenance issues are solved by ensuring the maintenance list is completed
  • Administrate the petty cash
  • Inspect that the hotel's PMS is working correctly and report any glitches
  • Supervise the performance of the receptionists
  • Assist the GM in administrative tasks (invoices, accounting, reports, etc.)
  • Check-in and check-out guests
  • Check that all the departures have left the property
  • Give quotations and make bookings over the phone, at reception or via email
  • Take card and cash payments. Give the hotel banking details for EFTs.
  • Organize keys, prepare indemnity forms and any paperwork required
  • Keep reception organized and clean
  • Make beds after the housekeeping team has departed
