Hotel Maintenance
Workshop Technician
to join our
Engineering and Maintenance team.
In This Vital Hands-on Role, You Will

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on hotel equipment, furniture, and assets
• Repair, refurbish, and fabricate components as required in the workshop
• Operate and maintain workshop machinery safely and efficiently

This position is ideal for a detail-driven, technically minded professional who takes pride in precision workmanship, equipment reliability, and the satisfaction of keeping a luxury hotel performing at its best.

Please Note
Due to the urgency of this appointment,
preference will be given to candidates currently based in Cape Town
as relocation could delay start dates.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Workshop Technician with a solid technical foundation and a proactive attitude. The ideal candidate will have:

• A valid South African ID
• A technical or trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Workshop Engineering (advantageous)
• 2 to 3 years' experience in a workshop or maintenance role within a hotel, industrial, hospital, or commercial environment
• Proven experience in workshop maintenance, repair, or fabrication
• Strong knowledge of workshop tools, machinery, and safety procedures
• Excellent problem solving and technical skills
• A commitment to high quality workmanship and attention to detail
• The ability to work independently and efficiently under deadlines
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Additional Responsibilities

• Inspect and test completed work to ensure durability and operational reliability
• Manage workshop materials, tools, and inventory, reporting shortages, defects, or malfunctions to the Maintenance Manager
• Follow strict health, safety, and PPE procedures at all times
• Collaborate with the engineering and maintenance team to support hotel operations and guest areas
• Assist with on-site repairs and emergency maintenance tasks when required
