A leading Civil Engineering / Construction company is looking for an experienced Contract Manager with strong experience in managing contracts and construction projects, preferably within civil works or related infrastructure development, to join their team in Pretoria. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all contractual aspects of civil engineering/construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project specifications, budget, and timelines.
  • Participate in and lead contract negotiations, manage the tender process, and draft, review, and finalize all related legal and commercial documentation.
  • Identify, analyse, and mitigate potential contractual risks and disputes; ensure full compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and company policies.
  • Act as the primary contractual point of contact, coordinating closely with site teams, project managers, clients, subcontractors, and legal advisors.
  • Monitor project financial performance against contractual obligations, managing claims, variations, and payment applications to ensure profitability and cash flow.
  • Proactively address project challenges, manage conflict resolution, and handle any formal claims or disputes that arise during the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • BEng / BSc / National Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in contract management, project management, or site management within the civil engineering or construction industry.
