Role responsibilities 

  • Lead Hydropower design and studies ranging from prefeasibility studies to detailed designs.
  • Review hydropower and dam designs and costing.
  • Review hydropower energy yield calculations.
  • Business Development for hydropower and dams and for the extended Zutari business.
  • .Lead digital innovations within the hydropower and dams space to make the delivery of projects more efficient.
  • Project management of dams and hydropower projects.
  • Integrate and collaborate with other business units within Zutari to enable the implementation of hydropower and dams projects.
  • Travel to site and clients throughout Sub-Saharan Africa as required.

Minimum requirements 

  • MSc (Preferred) /BSc or MEng (Preferred) /BEng in Civil ]Engineering.
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in Hydropower Engineering.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (PrEng) with ECSA (Required).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
