Marketing & Communications Manager
to join our growing team.

Our technology uses upcycled macadamia nutshells to provide safe drinking water to communities while creating jobs for young people and women. We're expanding our network of
Water Champions
and
mini-grid kiosks
across South Africa — and we need a powerful voice to tell these stories.

What You'll Do

  • Lead Kusini Water's
    marketing, communications, and brand strategy
    — from social media to national campaigns.
  • Manage all
    media, content, and public relations
    to ensure our work stays top of mind for partners, funders, and the public.
  • Oversee
    events and sponsorships
    , including exhibitions, conferences, and brand activations that showcase Kusini's impact.
  • Work with our field teams to capture real stories from the ground — our Water Champions, communities, and innovations.
  • Strengthen Kusini's online presence through compelling visuals, video storytelling, and digital campaigns.
  • Develop communication materials (press releases, brochures, presentations, and newsletters) that reflect our mission and voice.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align messaging with our
    growth and fundraising strategy.

Who You Are

  • A creative, strategic thinker with a heart for social change.
  • Experienced in
    marketing, communications, PR, or brand management
    (5+ years preferred).
  • Confident managing both
    digital and traditional campaigns
    .
  • Strong in
    writing, design oversight, storytelling, and media relations.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Experience with
    events, sponsorships, or impact-driven campaigns
    is a major plus.
