Account Manager – Client Relations

Hours: 4pm -1am South African Time

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Account Manager to join our dynamic team and contribute to the ongoing success of our organization. In this role, you will specialize in payroll and HR solutions, playing a key part in nurturing and maintaining relationships with valued clients to ensure long-term satisfaction and retention.

As the primary point of contact for established clients, you will represent the companys vision and core values while delivering exceptional client service. This role is essential in ensuring client satisfaction through effective communication, proactive engagement, and timely issue resolution. A strong customer-focused mindset, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to build lasting partnerships are critical to success in this position.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain long-term client relationships built on trust and transparency

  • Proactively engage with clients to assess satisfaction, identify needs, and implement strategies to ensure high service standards

  • Address and resolve client concerns efficiently, escalating issues where necessary and managing resolutions through to completion

  • Identify potential leads and service opportunities for internal sales teams

  • Maintain accurate client records and provide clear follow-up communication, summarizing discussions and outlining next steps

  • Use task management and support tools to assign tasks and track progress on client-related activities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of client requests and service delivery

  • Engage with senior stakeholders and manage high-level calls with professionalism and clarity

  • Manage additional services for existing clients, including proposal preparation and coordination with internal teams

  • Oversee onboarding and setup of new client initiatives, working closely with implementation teams to ensure smooth transitions

Qualifications
  • 3–5 years experience in account management or project management

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven experience managing and resolving client-related issues

  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects

  • Proactive problem-solver with a client-centric approach

  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment

  • Creative and strategic thinker focused on improving client and team outcomes

  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools; experience with task and support platforms is advantageous
