Requirements
- Grade 12 plus certifications such as A+, N+, or MCDST (or working toward them).
- At least
5 years' hands-on experience
in desktop support and service desk environments. - Strong knowledge of Windows OS (2010–11) and Windows Server (2012–22).
- Experience with backup software (Veeam), remote support, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of networks, Citrix, and cabling.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
- Flexibility to provide after-hours and remote support when required.
Key Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Provide desktop support for users, including hardware, software, printers, cabling, and operating systems.
- Manage service desk tickets: log, track, resolve, escalate when needed, and keep users updated.
- Monitor and troubleshoot store-level backups, escalating issues where necessary.
- Restore system connectivity when outages occur.
- Record, track, and manage IT assets, ensuring policies are followed for allocation, transfer, and disposal.
- Liaise professionally with staff at all levels, ensuring SLA compliance and timely resolution of issues.
