Requirements

  • Grade 12 plus certifications such as A+, N+, or MCDST (or working toward them).
  • At least
    5 years' hands-on experience
    in desktop support and service desk environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS (2010–11) and Windows Server (2012–22).
  • Experience with backup software (Veeam), remote support, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Basic understanding of networks, Citrix, and cabling.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Flexibility to provide after-hours and remote support when required.

Key Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide desktop support for users, including hardware, software, printers, cabling, and operating systems.
  • Manage service desk tickets: log, track, resolve, escalate when needed, and keep users updated.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot store-level backups, escalating issues where necessary.
  • Restore system connectivity when outages occur.
  • Record, track, and manage IT assets, ensuring policies are followed for allocation, transfer, and disposal.
  • Liaise professionally with staff at all levels, ensuring SLA compliance and timely resolution of issues.
