Quality Control Supervisor

Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Control Analyst to join the Coega, Port Elizabeth team  Ensure that all incoming recipes, rawmaterial, in process, final product specifications and packaging materialsspecifications are adhered to and met.· Ensure CCP's, OPRP's and PRP's are maintained· Ensure trimming, blending, ageing, filling,flavoring, freezing, canning, blanching, pasteurizing, coding and final productpackaging material quality requirements are adhered to and met, · Ensure all junior QC staff (incl. LineInspectors, QC lab inspectors, QC teachers, etc.) are adequately trained andassessed to meet predetermined requirements.· Reporting of any and all non -conformances toQC Manager and Production Manager, with regards to all product and equipment. · Assist production with any root causeanalysis, corrective and preventative actions. · Perform quality testing and inspection onraw, in -process and final product for each process. · Ensure traceability of raw material, inprocess and final product is maintained at all times· Ensure wastage of raw material, in -process,final product and packaging is kept to a minimum at all times. · Carefully assess and identify the productsthat do not meet the specified requirements or quality standards. · Carry out the necessary actions according tothe reworking plan. Ensure that the rework process is well -documented and thatany adjustments or modifications are accurately recorded. · Work with production to meet planned targets· Ensure all QC records are completedaccurately and signed off timeously· Coordinate and assist with product samplingand pilot trials Requirements· Grade 12· Qualification in Food Science, FoodTechnology, Microbiology, or a related field.· Minimum 3 years experience in quality control/ food science within the food, dairy, or citrus industry.· In -depth knowledge of food safety regulations,HACCP, and GMP principles.· Proficient in MS Office· Valid drivers license and own transport,· Must be willing to work shifts,
