Quality Control Supervisor – Main Transmission Substation (Windfarm | IPP Project)

A leading Independent Power Producer (IPP) is seeking an experienced Quality Control Supervisor for the Main Transmission Substation (MTS) on a major windfarm project in the Western Cape.

This role is ideal for a technically strong professional with hands-on experience in renewable energy electrical systems and substation quality control.


Key Responsibilities

Oversee and implement all QA/QC processes for the Main Transmission Substation (MTS) scope.

Conduct electrical inspections, and verification of installation and commissioning works.

Ensure strict compliance with project specifications, SANS, ISO, and client QA/QC standards.

Review and approve quality documentation from EPC contractors.

Identify and manage non-conformances, ensuring prompt resolution.

Liaise with EPC, Owner's Engineer, and site management to maintain schedule and technical integrity.

Support commissioning and final handover to operations.


Requirements

Electrical Qualification (National Diploma, Trade Test, or equivalent).

5+ years' QA/QC experience in renewable energy or high-voltage substation projects.

Proven experience with MTs (Main Transmission Substation) works and electrical testing.

Familiarity with IPP, Owner's Engineer, or EPC project environments.

Excellent technical reporting and communication skills.

South African citizenship or valid work eligibility required.
