About the Role

LCP Roofing is seeking a seasoned
Procurement Officer/Buyer
with proven expertise to join our dynamic team. This is not an entry-level or career transition opportunity; we need someone who can hit the ground running with demonstrated procurement experience in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Procure materials, stock items, ad-hoc commodities, and services with precision and efficiency
  • Manage purchasing and replenishment cycles while tracking and reporting monthly cost savings
  • Resolve supplier invoice queries and maintain daily order follow-ups
  • Provide weekly outstanding order updates and bi-weekly open requisition reports
  • Support pricing comparisons and assist in negotiating trade terms and discount structures with suppliers
  • Build and maintain strong, lasting supplier relationships
  • Handle ad-hoc procurement tasks as business needs evolve

What You Must Bring (Non-Negotiable)

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' purchasing/procurement experience
    – we need hands-on expertise, not theory
  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
  • Sharp memory with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, you use data to make informed decisions and identify root causes
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while managing competing priorities
  • Experience in tracking cost savings and generating procurement reports

Advantageous:

  • Procurement Degree, Diploma, or related qualification
