Our client in the Financial industry is currently looking for a Tax Specialist, in Cape Town, Western Cape.

Responsibilities:
  • Tax Return Submission: Prepare and submit individual, corporate, and other tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Taxpayer Registrations: Manage and complete tax registrations for clients, including individual and corporate entities.
  • Tax Applications and Compliance: Handle various tax-related applications, ensuring all requirements are met for accurate tax filings and compliance.
  • Ad Hoc Services: Provide ad hoc tax services, addressing unique client needs and queries promptly.
  • Tax Administration: Oversee all administrative tasks related to tax, including record-keeping, documentation, and updates on client tax statuses.
  • SARS Liaison and Appointments: Arrange and attend appointments with SARS to resolve client tax issues and queries.
  • Advance Tax Planning and Advice: Conduct tax planning and advisory for clients, developing strategies to optimize tax efficiency.
  • Other Registrations: Assist clients with additional registrations (e.g., VAT, PAYE, UIF), ensuring compliance across various tax areas.
  • Tax Calculations: Perform detailed calculations for various tax submissions and advisory services, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current tax laws.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
  • Professional Registration: Registered with the South African Institute of Tax Professionals (SAIT) as a Tax Practitioner.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in tax compliance, planning, and advisory.
  • Strong familiarity with SARS procedures, tax laws, and filing requirements.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent knowledge of tax administration and regulatory compliance in South Africa.
  • Proficiency in tax-related software and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with clients and SARS.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proactive approach to managing tasks and resolving tax issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines efficiently.
  • Strong commitment to continuous learning in tax legislation and compliance.
Remuneration:
  • Up to R35 000 per month.
