SME Consultant – Job Description

Location: South Africa (Office-based / Field Sales)

Salary: R7,500 – R15,000 per month + Commission + Incentives + Fuel Allowance (where applicable)

Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 to 17:00 (Optional weekends)

About the Role

We are looking for a driven and professional SME Consultant to join our growing business team at WSE. The role focuses on acquiring new SME (Small and Medium Enterprise) clients and maintaining relationships with existing business customers across our telecommunications and digital solutions portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, contact, and onboard new SME clients through field visits, cold calling, and referrals.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing business customers.
  • Present and promote WSE's telecom and digital solutions to meet client needs.
  • Conduct on-site or virtual meetings with business owners and decision-makers.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle – from lead generation and proposals to closing deals.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity reports.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's licence and reliable car (essential).
  • Minimum 2 years' sales experience, preferably in SME, telecom, or B2B solutions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Professional presentation and customer service skills.
  • Strong self-management and goal orientation.
  • Must be computer literate (Microsoft Office, CRM systems).
  • Matric or higher qualification required.
