THE ROLE: SENIOR RETAIL HYPERMARKET MANAGER

Our client is a major player in the automotive retail sector, known for its
hypermarket/large-format dealership model
. This is not a standard store management role; it is a complex, high-pressure operation requiring supreme operational and commercial acumen.

Key Responsibilities & Scope:

  • Lead a Mega-Team:
    Oversee all operations, leadership, and performance of a substantial staff complement of
    approximately 238 employees
    .
  • P&L & Strategy:
    Drive top-line sales, manage inventory rotation and merchandising standards, and take full ownership of the location's operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Sales Excellence:
    Implement aggressive, data-driven sales strategies and customer engagement initiatives across multiple departments.
  • Operational Control:
    Ensure continuous compliance with all regulatory (including Health & Safety) and internal audit standards.
  • Talent Development:
    Coach, mentor, and elevate a large management and sales team, fostering a culture of high performance and resilience.

You are a Retail Leader who doesn't just manage—you
coach, strategize, and inspire
. You possess the rare blend of operational discipline and commercial agility.

Essential Experience & Profile:

  • 10+ years of progressive Retail Management experience
    is mandatory.
  • Proven track record
    leading high-volume operations, preferably within an
    automotive dealership, massive hypermarket, or large-format retail environment.
  • Exceptional ability to manage complex sales metrics (conversion rates, basket size, foot traffic) and
    translate data into strategic action.
  • A
    Master Communicator
    capable of leading a massive team while maintaining exceptional customer engagement standards.
  • Must be proficient in advanced retail systems, CRM, and KPI reporting tools.
  • A
    tertiary qualification
    in Retail Management or Business Administration is highly advantageous.
