Main purpose of role

Head up warehouse and manage the team to ensure internal & external service delivery

Duties and responsibilities

Managing intake, preparation and loading of cargo for export purposes.

Maintain accurate material levels

Management of loading equipment and vehicles

Ensure operating costs are kept to a minimum

Housekeeping and maintenance

Manage warehouse staff, including scheduling shifts, delegating tasks and ensuring adherence to company policies.

Managing all SLA's

Minimum of _5_ years experience as Warehouse Manager in air freight exports environment.

Excellent understanding of industry and related job requirements for freight forwarding.

Experienced in staff management; building and leading a team to perform at maximum capacity.

Extensive knowledge pertaining to airlines, ground handlers

Manage Service Level Agreements, Vehicle maintenance & Licensing

Stock control and ordering of packaging material

Managing general housekeeping pertaining to the building, warehouse, coldrooms and surrounding perimeter.
