Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Sandton for a Business Development Manager. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and driving sales growth. We are looking for a
SALES HUNTER
with a passion for technology and proven ability to build and close pipeline opportunities. Additional tasks include Conduct in-depth
market research
to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive opportunities.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans
to drive revenue growth and market penetration. Collaborate with
cross-functional teams
(technical, marketing, operations) to ensure seamless customer experience and solution delivery. Expand Urbanise Technology's
footprint across the IT landscape
, building brand presence and customer loyalty. Ensure
business alignment
by translating customer insights into actionable strategies that support company goals and long-term growth.
Core Responsibilities
New Business Acquisition
: Actively prospect and secure new clients across SMB, enterprise, and government sectors, with a strong focus on building a sustainable customer base.
Pipeline Ownership
: Develop, promote, and manage the execution of sales pipeline opportunities you've created, ensuring consistent deal progression and closure.
Customer Engagement & Solution Design
: Conduct discovery meetings to understand client needs and craft tailored IT solutions that drive business outcomes.
Sales Targets
: Consistently meet or exceed
monthly sales targets
, contributing to overall revenue growth and strategic objectives.
Solution Selling
: Collaborate with internal teams to design and present comprehensive IT solutions that align with customer goals.
Market Intelligence
: Conduct internal and external research to identify customer requirements, industry trends, and competitive positioning.
Strategic Account Growth
: Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, identifying opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and account expansion
Qualifications
- Minimum
3 years of successful B2B sales experience
in the IT industry, ideally in solution selling and account growth. - Demonstrated ability to
generate and close new business opportunities
, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive IT environment. - Client relationship management and customer service skills
- Market research and analytical skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Experience with
value-based selling
methodologies. - IT certifications (Sales or Technical) from leading vendors are a plus.
