Do you have a meticulous approach to laboratory procedures and experimental accuracy? Are you passionate about applying chemical engineering fundamentals to hands-on research and development? The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting bench-scale experiments, including sample preparation, extraction processes, data collection, and analysis. Your primary focus will be operating and maintaining lab equipment, ensuring rigorous documentation, and supporting process development through reliable and repeatable experimental work.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or BSc Hons in Chemistry, Molecular Biology or Microbiology.
  • An MSc is a strong asset.
  • 1-2+ years of hands-on laboratory experience, preferably in an R&D or process development setting.
  • Strong practical understanding of core scientific, research and chemical/process engineering principles (mass & energy balances, fluid mechanics, unit operations).
  • Proficiency in standard laboratory techniques, equipment operation, and maintaining a detailed lab notebook.
  • A safety-focused mindset with knowledge of risk assessment and safe chemical handling procedures.
  • Experience with biomaterials, polymers, or extraction processes is beneficial but not required.
