Country Head – Southern Africa (Bitumen Sales - Under the Gantry / Storage Terminal )Location: Johannesburg - Durban , South Africa (with regional travel - Southern Africa )Employer Type: EnerGex Asphalt & Fuels Limited ( A Global Energy & Commodities Trading Company)Reports To: Regional Director – Africa / Global Head of Bitumen / ManagementRole Summary :- The Country Head – Southern Africawill lead the regional bitumen business, driving sales under the gantry and from Storage Terminal across South Africa and neighboring markets.> This is a P&L leadership role responsible for commercial strategy, market development, operational efficiency, and team leadership. The ideal candidate is a commercially sharp, hands-on executive with strong regional networks and a track record in bulk bitumen or downstream petroleum sales.> Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute sales and market strategies forBITUMENunder the gantry ( Durban / Richards Bay / East London / Capetown and storage terminal at Durban and Customer Storage within Southern African Region.Grow market share across Southern Africa (South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe).Manage P&L, pricing, and marginoptimization.Oversee terminal/gantry operations and ensure compliance with HSE standards.Lead and mentor a regional commercial and operations team.Build strong customer and stakeholder relationships (contractors, distributors, road authorities).> Performance IndicatorsAnnual sales volume ( MT under gantry / Terminal )Gross margin and EBIT performanceMarket share and customer retentionOperational and HSE compliance metricsWorking capital and cost efficiencyPerformance evaluation every 6 MonthsProbation 3+3 ( Total 6 Months ) thereafter Permanent Position as per International Contract under English Law.> Profile RequirementsBachelor's in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain (Civil Engineer - MBA ), preferably from Road Infrastructure Segment10–15 years' experience in bitumen, oil trading, or downstream petroleum, with at least 5 years in senior leadership.Proven success in B2B bulk bitumen sales under the Gantry and terminal-based operations.Strong regional market knowledge and commercial acumen.Excellent leadership, negotiation, and relationship management skills. Remuneration & IncentivesComponent Range / DetailsBase Salary- Gross USD 90,000 – 120,000 PA(experience-dependent)Annual Bonus Up to 20 % of base (volume, margin, and performance-linked)Benefits - Car Allowance, relocation (if expatriate)Long-Term Incentive Profit-sharing or equity-linked plan (discretionary) Career GrowthOpportunity to progress into Regional Head – Africa or Global Commercial Leadership roles within the bitumen or wider trading business
