Role Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Solutions Delivery Manager who can also function as a
hands-on Technical Lead
. This hybrid role is responsible for the successful end-to-end delivery of complex, modern software solutions, primarily centered on
microservices architecture
deployed on
Kubernetes
within the
AWS
cloud environment. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between product strategy, technical architecture, and agile execution, ensuring timely, high-quality, and maintainable software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture (40%)

• Architectural Oversight:
  Act as the technical authority, guiding development teams on design decisions, architectural patterns (especially
  microservices
  ), and technological choices, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and future scalability.
• Technology Stack Proficiency:
  Maintain deep, practical competence in our core technologies:
  Java/Spring Boot
  (for backend services),
  
  (for APIs/gateways),
  Kubernetes, Docker
  , and
  AWS
  infrastructure.
• Code Quality & Governance:
  Define and enforce coding standards, security protocols, and quality metrics. Conduct high-level code reviews and architectural spikes to mitigate technical risk and ensure maintainability.
• Modernization:
  Drive the adoption of advanced cloud-native practices, service meshes, and observability patterns within the Kubernetes environment.

Project Delivery & Agile Management (40%)

• End-to-End Delivery:
  Own the entire delivery lifecycle, from requirements translation (JIRA) through development, QA, deployment, and operational handover.
• Agile Governance:
  Implement and optimize
  Agile methodologies
  (Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid) across multiple teams, ensuring efficient sprint planning, accurate capacity forecasting, and transparent reporting.
• Stakeholder Communication:
  Act as the primary technical point of contact for stakeholders (Product Managers, Business Owners), translating technical complexity into clear business impact, risks, and timelines.
• Risk & Dependency Management:
  Proactively identify, track, and mitigate technical, cross-team, and delivery risks that could impact solution timelines or quality.

Operations and Governance (20%)

• Cloud Operations (DevOps):
  Oversee the CI/CD pipelines, ensuring secure and automated deployments to
  AWS
  using containerization (
  Docker
  ) and orchestration (
  Kubernetes
  ).
• Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs):
  Ensure all solutions meet stringent non-functional requirements for performance, scalability, security, and resiliency.
• Budget & Cost Optimization:
  Work with Cloud Engineering to manage and optimize
  AWS
  infrastructure costs associated with the delivered solutions.
• Tooling & Process:
  Standardize and optimize the use of project and issue tracking tools, specifically
  Jira
  , for reporting, metrics, and team workflow management.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential Technical Expertise

• 7+ years
  of progressive experience in software engineering, with at least
  2+ years
  in a Technical Lead or Architectural role.
• Microservices Architecture:
  Extensive experience designing, developing, and deploying services based on this pattern.
• Containerization & Orchestration:
  Expert-level proficiency with
  Docker
  and
  Kubernetes
  (deployment, troubleshooting, scaling, and networking).
• Cloud Platform:
  Deep, hands-on experience with
  AWS
  services (EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, ECS/EKS).
• Backend Development:
  Strong professional background in either
  Java/Spring Boot
  or
  
  with excellent coding, testing, and debugging skills.
• Delivery Tooling:
  Expert user of
  Jira
  for project tracking, reporting, and workflow management.

Management & Soft Skills

• Agile Leadership:
  Proven experience leading multiple, simultaneous agile development teams.
• Communication:
  Exceptional ability to present technical strategies and roadmaps to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
• Mentorship:
  Demonstrated success in mentoring senior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Desired (Bonus) Qualifications

• Professional certification in AWS (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional or DevOps Engineer Professional).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Experience with modern data streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka).
• Familiarity with financial services, e-commerce, or other high-volume transactional industries.
