Role Description

This is a 1x month contract role for a Construction Health and Safety Officer, and it is located on-site in Upington.

The successful candidate will be appointed for the Principal Contractor and will be required to be on site permanently for the duration of the project to assist the principal contractor in complying with the OHS Act, Construction Regulations and Client Specific Standards.

Requirements:

-The candidate must have a valid SACPCMP CHSO Registration Certificate.

-The candidate must reside in Upington, Northern Cape.

-The candidate must have own transport.

-The candidate must have own laptop.

-Experience in conducting Health & Safety Inspections, Audits, and Risk Assessments.

-Skills in developing and implementing OHS policies, safe operating procedures, and emergency response plans.

-Proficiency in incident investigation, reporting, and compliance documentation.

-Strong written and verbal communication skills.

-Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.

-Ability to work on-site in Upington.

-Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or related fields

The successful candidate will have opportunities for permanent employment.
