Junior CCTV Technician

Installation and configuration

  • Install and configure: Set up CCTV systems, including cameras, monitors, and recording devices like DVRs and NVRs.
  • Site surveys: Conduct site surveys to determine the best camera placement for optimal coverage.
  • Cable management: Run and terminate network cables (like Cat5e/Cat6) and integrate systems with existing infrastructure.
  • System setup: Configure systems to meet client specifications, including setting up analytics like intrusion detection.

Maintenance and repair

  • Routine maintenance: Perform regular checks and maintenance on existing systems to ensure they are functioning properly and efficiently.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues with hardware and software.
  • Repairs and upgrades: Repair malfunctioning equipment, replace faulty components, and perform system upgrades.

Support and documentation

  • Technical support: Provide technical support and training to end-users on system operation and maintenance.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, service activities, and maintenance logs.
  • Client communication: Collaborate with clients and other security teams to design and implement solutions.

Compliance and safety

  • Safety standards: Ensure that all installations and maintenance work comply with safety standards and regulations.
  • Technology updates: Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in video surveillance.
