Finance Manager – Scaling Global Edtech Business

Salary dependent on experience level up to R900k per year

Hybrid working - Cape Town (several days office based)

We're looking for a
hands-on, detail-driven Finance Manager
to take ownership of day-to-day financial operations, compliance, and process improvement within a fast-growing, mission-led global organisation.

You'll manage core finance functions including
reporting, accounts receivable/payable, payroll oversight
, and
automation initiatives
, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across multiple markets.

Essentially this role is to take ownership of the day-to-day financial operations; managing invoices, payments, and reconciliations-keeping everything running smoothly and accurately behind the scenes.- and as such, requires previous experience of exactly this

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee monthly and annual financial closings, reconciliations, and audit preparation.
  • Manage invoicing, payments, and collections to maintain healthy cash flow.
  • Supervise payroll and ensure compliance with local accounting regulations.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate financial processes.

What You Bring:

  • 5–8 years' experience in finance, accounting, or audit, ideally within a tech or service-driven business.
  • Strong command of operational finance (A/R, A/P, GL) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills.
  • Proficiency with accounting tools (Xero or similar).
  • Proactive, analytical, and comfortable in a fast-paced, international environment.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and passion for building efficient systems.
