Are you a detail-obsessed number-cruncher who thrives on precision, process, and impact? We're looking for a Financial Accountant who's ready to take ownership of complex accounting functions within a fast-moving, operationally rich environment.

This role sits at the heart of the finance team, supporting everything from asset management to audit readiness. You'll play a key role in ensuring financial integrity across multiple branches and business units, with a strong focus on compliance, controls, and continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing:

  • Own and manage the full fixed asset process, including capex approvals and depreciation schedules.
  • Lead the preparation of year-end adjustments and ensure compliance with IFRS standards.
  • Drive accurate monthly consolidations and manage the financials of a key subsidiary.
  • Oversee national creditors' processes, including reconciliations, payments, and supplier engagement.
  • Manage tax submissions (VAT, PAYE, provisional tax, income tax), ensuring full SARS compliance.
  • Support audit cycles, working with both internal teams and external auditors to deliver clean results.
  • Guide internal audits, stock counts, and balance sheet reviews.
  • Assist with cash flow forecasting and forex payment scheduling.

What we're looking for:

  • A BCom in Accounting or related field.
  • SAICA/SAIPA articles (advantageous) with 2-3 years' post-articles experience.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax compliance, and audit processes.
  • A proactive problem-solver who's hands-on, accurate, and deadline-driven.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work across departments and branches.
