Junior Legal Assistant / Paralegal

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented person willing to learn and grow their legal knowledge to support our team.

Training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Open new conveyancing files and maintain accurate records.
  • Collect, verify, and organise client identification documents.
  • Manage correspondence, including emails, letters, and phone calls.

Draft standard conveyancing documents such as:

  • Initial letters to clients
  • Assist with preparing and reviewing transfer documents
  • File and archive closed matters.

Skills & Competencies

  • Professional, friendly, and client-focused attitude.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Positive approach to problem-solving and working under pressure.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft word & Excel
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a supportive team.

Qualifications

  • Matric
  • Legal studies or paralegal certification (preferred but not always required).
  • Previous administrative experience is an advantage.
