FMG Digital is one of South Africa's fastest-growing performance marketing agencies. In the last 3 years, we have scaled 60+ e-commerce brands across beauty, fashion, wellness, and skincare - some by over 4000%.

We are not a branding agency. We are not a "pretty ads" agency. We are a performance creative machine.

We are looking for a hands-on Creative Strategist who can think in funnels, write ads that sell and use data to compound results.

This is an operator role, not a slide deck role.

What You Will Be Responsible For

You will own the creative strategy for 5 to 8 active e-commerce brands.

That means:

  • Deeply understanding each product, customer and competitive landscape.
  • Analysing performance data weekly to identify what to scale, iterate or kill.
  • Developing hooks, angles and offers grounded in customer insight and results.
  • Writing ad copy, headlines, UGC scripts and creative concepts yourself.
  • Building clear creative briefs that editors and creators can execute fast.
  • Collaborating daily with a media buyer to scale winners and diagnose losers.
  • Brainstorming and pressure-testing ideas with the Creative Director.

Your output directly impacts revenue. There is nowhere to hide and that is the point.

What We Are Looking For

  • You care more about what converts than what looks nice.
  • You understand why ads work, not just that they worked.
  • You can move fast without needing constant direction.
  • You take ownership and treat client ad accounts like your own business.
  • You want feedback, you want to get better and you are not precious about ideas.

Minimum Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in e-commerce, paid social or performance creative.
  • Strong understanding of performance metrics like ROAS, CPA, CTR and retention.
  • Proven ability to write hooks, primary text and sales-driven ad copy.
  • Comfort working across multiple brands at once without dropping quality.

Bonus Points If You

  • Have used CreativeOS, Foreplay, Motion, Atria or similar tools.
  • Have directed or briefed UGC creators or editors before.
  • Actively use AI tools to increase creative output and speed.
  • Want to grow into a senior role owning more brands or leading a pod.
