Database Managed Services

  • Database administration: Ensure database remains efficient and secure.
  • Fine tune of configurations, optimises resource allocation, ensure and implements best practices.
  • Database performance tuning and management: Performance tuning and management for optimized data operations e.g. scalability and efficiency.
  • Ensures peak performance through continuous monitoring.
  • Continuous Service Improvement.
  • Proactive approach to database management by continually evaluating performance and security through monitoring, trending topics to
  • Trouble shooting and problem diagnosis to resolve issues logged via support system.
  • Backup and Recovery: Ensuring the recovery of the data during system failures. Automated backups and recovery processes.
  • Database storage: Continuous monitoring of storage as well as scale storage requirements
  • Database security: Ensures data remain confidential and compliant including masking techniques, encryption and access controls.
  • Infrastructure support: 24hr support to resolve issues by doing proactive monitoring and problem resolution.
  • Database upgrade and migration: Plan and execute upgrades and migration of data. Ensure patches and updates are applied timeously to remain relevant.
  • Integration with Microsoft Azure: Monitoring and troubleshooting data pipelines.

Qlikview and Qliksense Services

  • Install, configure and upgrade Qlik Sense application.
  • Manage migration of QLIK objects between Development, QA and Production environments
  • Analyse Windows event logs and Qlik Sense server log files to troubleshoot and solve issues.
  • Provide Qlik Sense administration services via Management Console: managing licenses, setting up permission, designing folder structure and scheduling tasks for publishing purposes.
  • Administer and maintain access to Qlik Sense Management Console
  • Performance and scalability: Monitor proactively the environment.
  • Liaise and with Qlik team to troubleshoot new features and provide operational support.
  • Backup and recovery: Ensure backup and recovery of environment.
  • Regular checks on compliance like user access controls or any vulnerability scans on environment
  • Provide technical guidance to developers.
  • Support Nprinting configuration and set-up.
  • Perform upgrades to the environment for new software updates. Therefore, plan and execute software upgrades.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure optimal solution implementation.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and architecture teams to ensure optimal infrastructure environment.
  • Decommissioning the environment when new environments are established. Plan and execute.

Qliksense Site Management includes:

  • Manage licenses.
  • Manage tokens and access types.
  • Configure nodes.
  • Manage data connections.
  • Manage content security (can define security rules)
  • Manage task and triggers.
  • Synchronize users.

Development

  • Pipeline/ETL development (SSIS)
  • T-SQL development
  • Shell scripting (dotnet/C++)
  • Documentation
  • Occasional workflow, bot automation work
  • FTP script development
  • Qlik model development

Governance

  • Deployment of various audit principles
  • Fix issues detected + compliance
  • Creation data governance strategy

Collaboration

  • Business partnering on projects
  • Cross collaborative efforts
  • Tight integration with BA, Architecture, Security and Solutions

Qualifications

  • Matric and a tertiary qualification
