Are you ready to kickstart your career in Business Intelligence and Data Engineering? As an
Associate BI Engineer,
you'll play an essential role in shaping data-driven solutions and insights within a dynamic tech environment.
In this role, you'll contribute to impactful projects by delivering meaningful tasks for your squad. You'll get hands-on experience in end-to-end testing, supporting QA with Staging environments, and resolving build issues—all while enhancing your skills. You'll work with a cloud platform, gaining confidence in building basic apps and navigating the console.
You'll learn to apply best practices in software design patterns and testing, building new unit tests and strengthening legacy code. With practical exposure to continuous integration (CI) and integration testing, you'll be well-equipped to maintain and improve code quality.
As part of the BI team, you'll help drive continuous improvement and ensure high data quality. This includes performing data assurance, identifying potential workflow issues, and highlighting insights that add value across the company.
You'll also have the opportunity to engage in sprint planning and design sessions. We encourage curiosity—ask "why" to fully understand the business impact of your tasks and connect with the purpose behind each project
What You'll Do:
- Develop, test and maintain SQL-Based Reporting Features for the Platform
- Perform meaningful testings for the features built
- Collaborate with a distributed team to fulfill the department's quarterly objectives
- Develop code both independently and while pair programming
- Write and maintain design, user and test documentation
- Learn the Reporting Tools
- Learn the Databases (which data is where, and how to find out how to utilise it)
- Learn best practices for creating well-performing SQL within the data platform
- Perform triage activities through verification and fixing of bugs
- Build customer-facing code with oversight
- Support software testing and quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Assist with quality management and continuous improvement efforts within the company.
What You
Bring:
- 1+ years of SQL experience
- You have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- BSc in Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering or related field, MS Degree advantageous.
