JOB OVERVIEW:

We're looking for a Business Intelligence Business Analyst to join a high-performance data team supporting a top-tier investment platform in the financial services sector. You'll work closely with business and technical stakeholders to translate data needs into impactful BI solutions, with a strong focus on usability, data quality, and insight-driven decision-making.
You'll be instrumental in enabling the delivery of robust reporting, data products, and analytics aligned to key business goals.

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with business teams to gather, document, and validate data and BI requirements.
  • Translate requirements into clear functional specs and reporting logic.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and BI developers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Lead and support UAT, testing, and stakeholder sign-off.
  • Drive the delivery of visual dashboards and reports that support strategic decisions.
  • Contribute to data analysis, governance, lineage, and quality frameworks.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar enterprise visualisation tools.
  • SQL (strong proficiency required).
  • Strong business process knowledge.
  • Python (some exposure useful for analysis or automation).
  • Agile tools: Jira, Confluence.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 4+ years in a BI Business Analyst role or similar data-facing position.
  • Strong track record in retail, financial services or investment environments.
  • Proven experience translating business problems into technical BI solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Understanding of modern data platforms, data warehousing, and cloud data architecture.

ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS:

  • Experience working with enterprise data platforms like Microsoft Fabric or Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with data governance, metadata, or master data initiatives.
