We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Campus Manager to lead and oversee our Umhlanga and Durban campus. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a passion for education, operational excellence, and performance management, ensuring that both campuses achieve their academic, operational, and financial targets.
Purpose of the Role
The Campus Manager will provide leadership and direction across all areas of campus operations, including academics, administration, marketing, finance, and student support. This role carries full responsibility for meeting campus targets, driving student registration growth, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining a high standard of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Leadership and Target Achievement
- Develop and implement campus operational and growth strategies aligned with AIFT's vision.
- Drive student registration and retention targets to ensure the campus meets or exceeds enrolment goals.
- Monitor and report on campus performance against set KPIs, including financial, academic, and compliance metrics.
- Lead marketing and outreach activities to grow campus visibility and student intake.
- Ensure effective use of resources to achieve profitability and operational efficiency.
2. Academic and Quality Management
- Oversee delivery of academic programmes to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
- Ensure compliance with
DHET, QCTO, SETA, and CHE
accreditation and regulatory requirements. - Coordinate moderation, assessments, and student results to maintain academic integrity.
- Support lecturers and academic staff with curriculum delivery and learner engagement.
3. Operational Oversight
- Ensure the campus operates smoothly on a daily basis, with all departments functioning efficiently.
- Manage facilities, timetabling, logistics, and equipment to support academic delivery.
- Maintain campus readiness for audits, site visits, and accreditation reviews.
- Implement systems to improve productivity, accountability, and reporting.
4. People and Performance Management
- Lead, mentor, and motivate campus teams to meet institutional goals.
- Manage academic and administrative staff performance through clear KPIs and continuous feedback.
- Oversee staff attendance, conduct, and compliance with HR policies.
- Build a positive, performance-driven culture across both campuses.
5. Financial Management
- Manage campus budgets, expenditure, and financial controls in alignment with institutional guidelines.
- Monitor revenue collection and student fee payments to maintain financial stability.
- Ensure adherence to procurement procedures and cost control measures.
6. Student Experience and Stakeholder Engagement
- Promote a professional, supportive, and student-centred campus environment.
- Oversee student services, including admissions, registration, and academic support.
- Resolve student issues promptly and professionally.
- Build relationships with external partners, schools, and community stakeholders to support enrolment and reputation.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business Management, Education Management, Operations Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a management role within the education, TVET, or private higher education sector.
- Proven experience in driving performance and meeting campus or sales targets.
- Strong knowledge of academic administration and compliance frameworks (DHET, QCTO, SETA, CHE).
- Excellent leadership, planning, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and student management systems.
- Valid
driver's license
.
