Job Title: Warehouse General Worker

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking General Worker to join our team in a warehouse bulk operations environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the movement, handling, and organization of bulk materials and products, while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient workspace. This role requires strong physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Handling and Movement of Goods:

  • Load, offload, and move bulk products or materials within the warehouse.
  • Assist with sorting, stacking, and organizing stock in designated storage areas.
  • Support dispatch and receiving operations to ensure smooth workflow.

2. Housekeeping and Maintenance:

  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness throughout the warehouse.
  • Clean and inspect equipment, tools, and work areas regularly.
  • Ensure waste materials and packaging are disposed of correctly.

3. Operational Support:

  • Assist with packing, labeling, palletizing, and preparing stock for delivery.
  • Support stock counts and inventory checks when required.
  • Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet operational deadlines.

4. Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to all warehouse safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Report any safety hazards, damages, or incidents immediately to the supervisor.

5. Administrative and General Support:

  • Assist with basic documentation or stock movement records when needed.
  • Follow work instructions and maintain effective communication with the team.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Minimum Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or bulk handling environment will be an advantage.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately.
  • Good communication and basic mathematical skills.
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual labor.
  • Dependable, team-oriented, and safety-conscious.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift, carry, and move heavy or bulky items safely.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for long periods.
