Overview

Our client is seeking a newly qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) to join their technical team for a 6-month maternity cover. The successful candidate will provide technical support, research complex accounting matters, and contribute to management and accounting papers. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Senior Consultant looking to gain experience in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and guidance to the finance and regional teams on complex accounting issues.
  • Research and resolve technical queries related to accounting standards and practices.
  • Draft and review management and accounting papers for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Present technical findings and recommendations to the wider team, including senior management.
  • Engage in discussions with finance and regional teams to address technical matters and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
  • Collaborate with other team members to deliver high-quality technical solutions.

Requirements

  • Newly qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
  • Experience in researching technical accounting matters and drafting technical papers.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, UK GAAP).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident in presenting to teams and engaging in technical discussions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Mining sector experience highly advantageous.
