A High-Performance mine based in the North West has an exciting opportunity for a Concentrator Plant Manager The successful candidate will be responsible for the running of the metallurgical plant, delivery of capital projects, targeted at the continuous improvement and efficiency. Responsibilities:

  • Implement systems and processes to facilitate zero harm and achievement of environmental regulatory standards;
  • Development and approval of safe work procedures as part of training material;
  • Drive and promote the achievement of SHEQ standards in all projects.
  • Oversee the analysis of flow of events in processes to identify bottlenecks and causes for obstacles;
  • Review and implement strategies to overcome problems highlighted by the analysis trends produced from data by process engineers to identify significant trends in processes, repetitive failures and availability constraints;
  • Develop a three (3) year production plan;
  • Ensure that tons milled, concentrate tons, plant recovery, mass pull, concentrate grade and tailings grade are as per targets;
  • Review and approve labour plans around operational targets;
  • Provide leadership and inspire team members towards high performance;
  • Ensure that team members have Individual Performance Plans and Personal Development plan in place, and it is updated timeously provide coaching to team members on on-going basis;

Requirements:

  • Eng. Degree / B. Tech in Engineering (Metallurgy / Chemical)
  • Experience in operating PGM crushing, milling, and floatation circuits
  • Registration with Professional Engineers (ECSA)
  • At least five (5) years' experience as PGM Concentrator Plant Superintendent
  • Business qualification will be advantageous
