Accountant – Tax Accounting Practice (Hybrid, Roodepoort) - We are only looking for ladies

A tax and accounting practice seeking an experienced Accountant who can step in immediately and manage a full client portfolio with confidence and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform complete bookkeeping from source documents to trial balance and annual financial statements (AFS) in compliance with IFRS for SMEs
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns (VAT201) accurately and on time via eFiling
  • Reconcile bank statements, debtors, creditors, and inter-company loans
  • Process payroll, EMP201 submissions, and issue IRP5/IT3(a) certificates
  • Assist with tax compliance, including provisional tax calculations and ITR14 submissions

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3–5 years' hands-on experience as a senior accountant
  • Proficiency in Sage (50/One/Pastel), Xero, and QuickBooks
  • Strong working knowledge of SARS eFiling
  • Excellent attention to detail and deadline-driven
  • Independent worker who requires minimal supervision
  • Hybrid role: 2 to 3 days per week in-office (Roodepoort)

Salary market-related based on experience.
