Key Responsibilities:

Team and Vendor Management

·    Manage the IT Team towards effectiveness.

·    Evaluate and implement tools to improve productivity and system efficiency across the IT infrastructure

·    Manage IT vendors, contracts and renewals

Infrastructure and System Management

·    Implement and enforce secure user access controls and security policies

·  Own the uptime, performance and resilience of company systems (Cloud, network and on-prem) including monitoring system performance and availability, using tools to track and analyse system and network metrics.

·       Maintain server Infrastructure

·       Networking design, configuration and management

·     Develop and maintain data-models, data integration frameworks and storage solutions to facilitate seamless dataflow and accessibility.

·       Develop and Maintain IoT solutions to improve efficiency across business units.

·       Ensure scalability and reliability of IT Platforms (SaaS, IaaS, internal tools)

·       Ensure the efficient and effective operations of internal networks

System Administration and Support

·       Implement automation tools to streamline IT operations

·       Manage, drive and report on IT Tech ticket process and escalations and introduce AI agents to improve efficiency of the process.

·       Develop and maintain scripts for automating routine tasks and infrastructure maintenance.

·       Oversee and assist with the planning and execution of schedules maintenance

·       Define and manage the Disaster recover strategy for the organisation

Support and service delivery

·       Define and improve ITIL processes for incident, request and problem management.

·       Drive service desk automation for ticket resolution to introduce team efficiencies and to ensure best breed processes and tools are used.

·       Provide regular feedback to management on IT Metrics

·       Contribute to the IT budget planning and forecasting

·       Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies and best practices.

·       Recommend upgrades and improvements aligned with company growth and technology goals

Cybersecurity and compliance collaboration

·     Ensure IT systems, infrastructure and devices comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

·     Ensure compliance to Cybersecurity procedures and processes.

·     Collaborate with compliance team for IT audits and resolve any non-compliance

·     Implement and enforce data protection policies encryption standards and secure data transfers.

Minimum Requirements:

·     Post graduate qualification in related field or management qualification will be advantageous

·     Minimum of 10 years experience in IT support and IT compliance.

·     Minimum of 5 years experience at Management Level

·     Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English

Knowledge and Experience:

·     Knowledge of ITIL & ISO 27001 – advantageous

·     Strong understanding of enterprise security frameworks and practices

·     Experience in building and maturing IT operations, infrastructure management and implementing IT service management frameworks.

·     Deep understanding of infrastructure, cyber security, data governance and enterprise systems.

Skills:

·     Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

·     Excellent communication, management and strategic decision making skills.

·     Strong planning and organisation skills.
