**Minimum Requirements**:

- **Position Requirements/Qualifications**:

- Matric (Grade 12)
- Qualified Boilermaker with a red seal.
- Minimum 2 years of experience; FMCG experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of ISO and OSHA standards.
- Proficient in welding; must possess a driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Diploma or technical training in boiler making, welding, or fabrication preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS, ASME) are advantageous.
- Strong skills in reading blueprints and using metalworking tools.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions.
- Good troubleshooting, attention to detail, and communication skills.
- Commitment to safety standards and ongoing learning.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Key Performance Areas (Duties and Responsibilities)**:
- Conduct inspections and maintenance of boiler systems, identifying potential issues early. Perform routine inspections on all equipment and report non-conformances
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to fabricate and assemble metal structures such as boilers and tanks. Do mechanical fault finding.
- Use various techniques (arc, MIG, TIG) to securely join metal components.
- Install boiler systems in industrial and commercial settings, ensuring adherence to safety standards. Install, service, calibrate, and repair all mechanical apparatus
- Follow safety protocols, wear appropriate PPE, and operate equipment safely.
- Ensure all work meets industry specifications and conduct tests for quality verification.
- Work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure efficient project execution.
- Keep detailed records of work performed, including materials and specifications.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with boiler systems.
- Attend callouts after hours
- Stay updated on new technologies and industry practices.
