Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Call Taker role located in Midrand at the AA Emergency Call Centre. The Call Taker is responsible for answering emergency calls and promptly dispatching assistance as needed. Key responsibilities include effectively communicating with clients, gathering critical information, coordinating emergency responses, and ensuring timely service delivery. The role requires calm and professional interaction in high-pressure situations to provide the best possible support for customers in need.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a
    fast-paced call centre environmen
    t
  • Strong
    communication skills
  • A background in
    Customer Service and a customer-centric approach
  • Ability to
    remain composed
    and make informed decisions in
    high-pressure or emergency situations
  • Proficiency in operating call center software and technology
  • Fluency in
    English or Afrikaans;
    proficiency in additional South African languages is a plus
  • Prior experience in a similar role or emergency response setting is an advantage
