Duties & Responsibilities

Planned Maintenance

  • Undertake planned maintenance tasks as per Onkey works order allocated by specialist services foreman.
  • Assess requirement for spares and consumables and request from stores.
  • Note all relevant details on job card viz
  • Spares used and return of unused spare and consumables
  • Description of work done
  • Time taken
  • Problems encountered
  • All equipment and services are restored timeously and performs in accordance with its standard operating procedures/specs.
  • Review completed planned maintenance tasks signed of by specialist services foreman to confirm satisfactory completion.

Routine monitoring

  • Undertake routine monitoring tasks as directed by specialist services foreman / Management.
  • Portable and bulk medical gas usage / daily monitoring
  • Renal water daily monitoring
  • Autoclave performance monitoring
  • Instrument washers monitoring
  • Identify deviations and potential problems and notify specialist services foreman.
  • Compliance with IMS quality, health and safety policies and procedures.
  • All data recorded on standard IMS forms.

Helpdesk Call Response

  • Undertake reactive maintenance tasks in response to helpdesk calls and as directed by specialist services foreman.
  • Respond to request for gas through helpdesk or direct client request.
  • All services are responded to and restored in accordance within the required time limits as identified in the penalty regime.
  • Must be available for after hour callouts and be able to work overtime when required.

Quality, Health & Safety Compliance

  • All tasks undertaken in accordance with applicable IMS;
  • Quality, policies and procedures.

  • Health and Safety policies and procedures.

  • Review of non compliances occurrences identified during:

  • IMS quality, health and safety audits
  • Safety inspections

General

  • Assist specialist services foreman in general administrative functions.
  • Assist other team members / departments within TFS technical services when required.
  • General knowledge of medical gases and industrial gases including safe handling.
  • Allocated tasks completed to satisfaction of specialist services foreman.

Qualifications
  • Matric, Millwright/studying towards a Millwright trade.
  • 2-3 years experience in similar environment
