Audit Firm Manager

Full-time | Senior Management Level

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Audit Firm Manager to independently manage, plan, and direct the operations of the firm. The ideal candidate will ensure best practices are consistently applied to deliver high-quality audit and assurance work, foster professional excellence across teams, and drive sustainable growth through exceptional client service.

This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, requiring a proven ability to manage teams, optimize processes, and uphold the highest professional standards in accordance with IRBA and SAICA guidelines.

Minimum Requirements

  • CA(SA)
    designation (Registered with SAICA)
  • Registered Assessor (IRBA)
  • Minimum years of management experience within a professional audit firm
  • Proven record of delivering quality assurance work and leading diverse teams

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality and Compliance

  • Ensure all audit and assurance engagements meet professional and regulatory standards.
  • Implement best practices to maintain accuracy, consistency, and compliance across all client work.
  • Oversee quality review processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

2. Client Service and Delivery

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication, trust, and delivery excellence.
  • Oversee audit planning, execution, and reporting to ensure timely and high-quality outcomes.
  • Provide strategic insights and technical guidance to clients on complex audit and financial issues.

3. Business Development and Growth

  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to expand the firm's service offerings and client base.
  • Contribute to revenue growth through fee generation, client retention, and market visibility.

4. Leadership and Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and enable team members to achieve professional excellence and continuous growth.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Oversee capacity planning, training, and succession development within the team.
