Company Overview

Sonlia Marketing (Pty) Ltd is a fast-growing fruit marketing company based in Wellington. We specialize in the local sales and export of Stonefruit, Pomegranates, and Citrus, trading under the Sonlia and Colors brands.

Our close-knit team values accuracy, teamwork, and initiative, and we are looking for an energetic and detail-oriented financial administrator/bookkeeper to join our financial department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capturing and processing of Debtors and Creditors in Xero Accounting
  • Preparation and processing of creditor payments and month-end reconciliations (including VAT)
  • Calculation and processing of weekly producer payouts
  • Calculation of rebin/juice fruit values at the end of each season
  • Capturing of sales reports in Xero
  • Drafting of season summaries and distributing to producers at season-end
  • Compiling and maintaining the weekly financial report
  • Preparing monthly bin summaries for packhouse invoicing
  • Assisting with LinkedIn social media updates

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance
  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience
  • Proficient in Xero Accounting (experience with Pastel will be beneficial)
  • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English (written and verbal)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
  • Advanced computer literacy (MS Office, especially Excel)
  • Experience in the fruit industry will be a strong advantage
