Teaching positions as of 2026 for Social Ballroom and Adult Ballet.

Requirements:

1. Experience in teaching dance with relevant qualification
2. Available week-days from 2pm or evenings from 5pm
3. Good at sales and client retention
4. Well groomed
5. Passionate to work with beginners
6. Musical ear with ability to choreograph routines
7. Reliable with contactable references
8. Own reliable transport
9. Tech savvy with good communication skills in English and Afrikaans
10. Willing and able to travel with the team for dance competitions

Renumeration:
We offer an hourly rate for lessons taught, based on your experience and relevant qualification.

Catering to recreational and competitive dancers, the academy focuses on multiple dance genres to suit varied interests and skill levels. Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site role for a Dance Instructor based in Paarl or vicinity. The Dance Instructor will conduct dance lessons for individuals and groups, adapting teaching methods to suit a variety of skill levels and age groups. Additional responsibilities include choreographing routines, preparing students for performances or competitions, and encouraging a passion for dance. The Dance Instructor will also contribute to maintaining a positive and engaging learning environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Dance, with a strong background in one or more dance genres
• Experience in Dance Instruction and Teaching across various age groups and skill levels
• Dance Education expertise, including choreography and preparing students for performances
• Awareness of musicality and rhythm, incorporating Music into teaching
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage and inspire students
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required
• Previous experience in competitive dance training or performance is an advantage
• Relevant dance certifications or formal training is a plus
