Malander is seeking an
immediately available Accountant
for a
contract role
to support the finance team with both backlog management and ongoing accounts receivable responsibilities. The successful candidate will initially assist with clearing historical workload and will progressively take on day-to-day accounts receivable duties during an upcoming maternity leave period. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual to add value in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable Support & Customer Management

  • Process and update customer data accurately and timeously.
  • Address and resolve finance-related customer queries, including sending statements and allocating payments to invoices.
  • Assist with daily accounts receivable functions, supporting continuity during the maternity leave of the Accounts Receivable Officer.

Finance Administration & Backlog Support

  • Assist the Accountant and Accounts Receivables Manager with day-to-day finance tasks.
  • Support the clearing of backlog items to ensure accounts are up to date.
  • Ensure financial information is accurate, complete, and aligned with internal controls.

Requirements:

  • Immediately available for a contract role.
  • Solid experience in accounting or accounts receivable functions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle high volumes of transactional work.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a finance team.
