Role Overview

Lead a dynamic structured finance unit focused on scaling renewable energy across the SADC region. This team innovates across the capital stack—blended finance, ESG-linked instruments, equity convertibles—tailored to each client's energy transition journey. You'll originate and structure deals across high-growth segments, backed by a strong analyst team and a bank committed to sectoral leadership.

Key Responsibilities


• Originate and structure renewable energy transactions across C&I and embedded generation markets


• Lead client engagement across mining, logistics, FMCG, and agribusiness sectors


• Design bespoke financing solutions using debt, equity, and ESG-linked instruments


• Build and mentor a high-performing team of analysts and associates


• Drive strategic growth into adjacent infrastructure and green economy sectors

Ideal Candidate Profile


• 10+ years in energy finance, structured lending, or private credit


• Proven track record in C&I solar, battery storage, or wheeling-enabled IPP deals


• Deep understanding of SADC regulatory frameworks and capital formation strategies


• Strong networks across IPPs, investors and commercial clients


• Entrepreneurial mindset with flair for innovative structuring and ESG alignment


• Background in investment banking, infrastructure advisory, or energy platforms
